No, I haven’t completely disappeared, but I’m not going to lie - I just don’t have time to post now. Besides there seems to be enough lying going on in the country right now But, I am trying to make some changes in my life that will allow me to get this blog going again and hopefully pursue some other things as well. It may take me a month, two months or six months, I just don’t know right now. But Flicks Lists isn’t completely done, it’s just on life support, waiting to make its triumphant return, like Steven Segal in Hard To Kill. Well, kinda. Be sure to check back from time to time if you’re interested.

Oh yeah, The Dark Knight completely blew me away (when I saw it almost two months ago). Saw it in IMAX - possibly the most incredible movie-going experience of my life! Better late than never, right?

The Dark Knight - It’s Almost Here!

I knew this would get me posting again. After months of waiting, it’s almost here. I have been so busy this summer that I haven’t had much time to post here or even see a lot of movies. BUT, I have a ticket to see The Dark Knight in Imax on Saturday morning.

It seems so long ago that we got that first great trailer for the flick that I predict will live up to the hype. But now it’s almost here, just days away and Saturday can’t get here fast enough. I just hope I can sleep Friday night!

I promise to write up a full review - I honestly think that I will be compelled to after I see this flick.

ANOTHER UPDATE

Mike from Pop Critics stopped by Flicks Lists to check up on me and the site so I thought I would give you an update. I mean, if he can find the time to stop by and comment, I surely must be able to give you guys an update, right? By the way, check out what they are doing at Pop Critics. It really is a GREAT site and it just keeps growing. In fact, Mike is headed to Comic Con later this month. All I can say is, wow!

OK, back to this site. Frankly, I just haven’t found the time to post. The interest is there, it’s just been difficult finding the time and if I do something, I want to do it right. New posts are coming. In fact, I am going to be working on one tonight. See you soon!

So I Lied

Well, not really. I had every intention of posting last week and yesterday, so I didn’t lie. The fact is, I started a new job recently and I just haven’t found the time to post. Heck, I haven’t had a whole lot of time to visit my favorite blogs/sites either. Bummer.

Rest assured though, I will get some RELEVANT content posted soon. We’ll finish that pesky Top 100 Movies list, I’ve got some new lists to post, some reviews, a follow-up to my Iron Man movie theater experience rant, and some more fun stuff. So hang in there, I’ll be back and better than ever soon. Really. I mean it.

Top 100 Movies: A New Craze Begins, A Hero Reborn, and Joe Stealin’ Scenes

No. 31 - X-Men (2000)

This is the flick that started the current comic book movie craze. Man I couldn’t wait for this one and, except for maybe a little more action, it didn’t disappoint me (obviously).

No. 30 - Batman Begins (2005)

As far as I am concerned, this is the greatest comic book movie of all time. At least until The Dark Knight is released this summer. Hope my expectations aren’t too high

No. 29 - Lethal Weapon 2 (1989)

Many may consider this superior to the original in terms of action and comedy. I think it is the second best flick in the franchise, but it did have Leo Getz.

Classic Trailer Tuesday: Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade (1989)

To get you really excited for Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, which opens this week, Classic Trailer Tuesday presents the trailer for the last Indiana Jones flick - Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade. I won’t get a chance to see Kingdom of the Crystal Skull this week and am extremely jealous of all of you who will get to see it a week before I will. Then again, I’ve waited almost 20 years to see Indy in action again, so what’s another week?

“People on ludes should not drive.” Nuff said.

No. 33 - Jerry McGuire (1996)

Another great movie by Cameron Crowe. What happened to Cuba Gooding, Jr. after this flick? Then again, what happened to Tom Cruise? And the kid with the glasses?

No. 32 - Christmas Vacation (1989)

My favorite Christmas movie of all time and the best, that’s right, the best movie in this series. Yes, even better than Vegas Vacation

Classic Trailer Tuesday: Alien (1979)

I posted this trailer once before, but the movie and trailer are so good (Alien landed at No. 84 in my Top 100 Movies list), that it deserves a spot on Classic Trailer Tuesday. Just remember - in space no one can hear you scream. Especially if an alien is attached to your face.
