This post isn’t about movies nor is it a list. It is about one of the funniest commercials of all time - Nextel’s “Dots” commercial. I don’t know what made me think about it today. Maybe it’s because I am on a comedy high after the great episode of The Office last night, or because I don’t feel like doing the work I need to do right now. Regardless, this is one funny commercial.
By the way, anybody know if the guy at the end of the commercial is the same guy (I think his character’s name was Mac) from Night Court?

No. 55 - Ferris Bueller’s Day Off (1986)
I skipped school a few times, but never had this much fun. And where did he get all of that cash?
No. 54 - JFK (1991)
The first time I saw this movie it scared me. Really. (The following clip is NSFW.)
No. 53 - A League of Their Own (1992)
This is probably my favorite performance by Tom Hanks. Not necessarily his best, just my favorite.

No. 58 - Young Guns (1988)
Man I loved this flick when I was growing up. Must have seen it 50 times. Plus, its got Jack Bauer and John Locke. Well, kind of.
No. 57 - Batman (1989)
Remember the hype surrounding this flick? Saw it at a sneak preview - one of the best movie-going experiences I have ever had.
No. 56 - Fargo (1996)
Greatness. Although, after seeing No Country for Old Men, Fargo is now my third favorite Coen Brothers’ flick.

No. 61 - Do The Right Thing (1989)
Mars Blackmon’s masterpiece, in my humble opinion, in which racial tensions reach their breaking point on the hottest day of the year.
No. 60 - The Silence of the Lambs (1991)
“Believe me, you don’t want Hannibal Lector inside your head.” In more ways than one.
No. 59 - Braveheart (1995)
Remember when Mel Gibson actually starred in great movies? I am not ashamed to admit that I shed a tear toward the middle and at the end of this flick. Historical inaccuracies or not, I love it.

No. 64 - Kill Bill Vol. 2 (2004)
I really enjoy both Kill Bill “volumes,” but the final scene between Uma Thurman and Bill himself, David Carradine, puts Vol. 2 over the top for me. Classic Tarantino dialogue.
No. 63 - Unforgiven (1992)
I love westerns and this one came along at a time when the western was stale and in danger of fading away. Thanks for the save, Clint.
No. 62 - A Christmas Story (1983)
I don’t think I will ever tire of this classic Christmas movie. “Fra-gee-lay. It must be Italian.”
