This post was a little difficult to write at first. I really like Back to the Future, but it doesn’t stand out in my mind for anything other than that. The movie as a whole just works. There are some great scenes and dialogue, but I don’t quote Back to the Future and I don’t feel compelled to watch it whenever I happen to find it while channel surfing. I simply like it and it deserves a spot in my Top 100 Movies list.
Besides, is it really necessary for each post in my Top 100 Movies list to include “in-depth analysis?” I don’t think so. That being said, posts such as this will be the exception rather than the rule.
To make it up to those of you who may feel slighted, here is a trivia question: One of the stars of Back to the Future portrayed one of the greatest television characters of all time (and no, it’s not Alex P. Keaton). Can anyone name the actor, character, and television show? Here is a hint - this television show also starred a boxer turned actor. Come on, at least give it a guess.
