Notre Dame is close to completing its worst season ever. However, there was a time when Notre Dame was the premier football program in the country and boys dreamed of playing in the shadow of the Golden Dome.
Rudy tells the true story of one such boy. Actually, it tells the story of a young man, several years removed from high school, who decides to move from Chicago to South Bend to try to fulfill his lifelong dream - to play football at Notre Dame. His dream comes true and he learns some important lessons along the way.
Rudy is quite possibly the most inspirational movie of all time. Many a grown man (and woman) has shed tears at the end of this flick.
I wasn’t able to find a trailer, but I did find a cool montage of clips from the film.
