Is When Harry Met Sally a chick flick? Some may argue it is, but I tend to disagree. It’s a love story, but it’s also a story about human interaction and how men and women relate on a very fundamental level. Wait, now that I wrote that, it sure sounds like a chick flick, doesn’t it?

OK, maybe it is, but I don’t care. Besides, this isn’t the only “chick flick” I like. I also have a soft spot for Pretty Woman and Steel Magnolias. There, I said it and I don’t care!

Back to the discussion at hand - how did this flick land at No. 75 in my Top 100 Movies list? Simply put, it’s funny. I’m a big fan of Billy Crystal (Harry) and his character in this flick is hilarious. Sally (Meg Ryan) ain’t too shabby herself - I mean, who keeps their videos (this is an 80’s flick) alphabetized on index cards? Come on!

Then there is the famous (or infamous) diner scene. If you don’t know what I’m talking about, you have to check this flick out. Classic.
