In honor of Robert Downey Jr.’s role in a recent limited release independent feature, Iron Man, here are three trailers featuring Mr. Tony Stark himself. And if you haven’t seen Iron Man yet, you should. I hear it’s pretty good :-)

Natural Born Killers (1994)

Chaplin (1992)

Air America (1990)

I am starting some new features on Flicks Lists, including “Classic Trailer Tuesday.” Each Tuesday, you guessed it, I’ll post a classic trailer. Why, you ask? Because I love trailers and it’s fun looking at older trailers that I haven’t seen in a while. Hope you enjoy this new feature.

This week it’s Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom, the darkest flick in the franchise. Check it out:

Top 100 Movies: The Bride, Clint and Ralphie

No. 64 - Kill Bill Vol. 2 (2004)

I really enjoy both Kill Bill “volumes,” but the final scene between Uma Thurman and Bill himself, David Carradine, puts Vol. 2 over the top for me. Classic Tarantino dialogue.

No. 63 - Unforgiven (1992)

I love westerns and this one came along at a time when the western was stale and in danger of fading away. Thanks for the save, Clint.

No. 62 - A Christmas Story (1983)

I don’t think I will ever tire of this classic Christmas movie. “Fra-gee-lay. It must be Italian.”

No. 67 - E.T.: The Extra-Terrestrial (1982)

I remember watching this movie with a bunch of friends in the front row of the theater because the movie was sold out and we arrived late. I didn’t leave until my tears had dried up so that my buddies wouldn’t make fun of me.

No. 66 - Sling Blade (1996)

Dwight Yoakam is sure good as a bad guy. What a performance. Billy Bob ain’t too bad himself. Here is one of the more funny scenes from the movie.

No. 65 - The Godfather (1972)

Another flick that would have been ranked higher with more viewings. I’m not crazy about the “trailer” I posted below, I think it’s from a bonus DVD, but I couldn’t find another good quality original trailer. There are also some spoilers in it.

Which Summer Blockbuster Are You Most Excited to See?

Summer 2008 is shaping up to be one of the biggest summer movie seasons ever. There are four movies coming out this summer that I am particularly excited to see. Three are “comic book” movies and one features the return of an old friend. They are listed below in order of my “excitement level.” Trailers are also present for your viewing pleasure. Soooooo, which Summer 2008 movie are you most excited about?

1.  The Dark Knight (July 18, 2008) - I can’t wait to see what the late, great Heath Ledger did with this juicy role. Still can’t believe he’s gone.

2.  Iron Man (May 2, 2008) - Great actors, action, humor, Black Sabbath. ‘Nuff said.

3.  Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull (May 22, 2008) - Uh, do I need to say anything? Didn’t think so.

4.  The Incredible Hulk (June 13, 2008) - I know some are concerned about this flick. I think they are in for a pleasant surprise.
