No. 67 - E.T.: The Extra-Terrestrial (1982)
I remember watching this movie with a bunch of friends in the front row of the theater because the movie was sold out and we arrived late. I didn’t leave until my tears had dried up so that my buddies wouldn’t make fun of me.
No. 66 - Sling Blade (1996)
Dwight Yoakam is sure good as a bad guy. What a performance. Billy Bob ain’t too bad himself. Here is one of the more funny scenes from the movie.
No. 65 - The Godfather (1972)
Another flick that would have been ranked higher with more viewings. I’m not crazy about the “trailer” I posted below, I think it’s from a bonus DVD, but I couldn’t find another good quality original trailer. There are also some spoilers in it.

Top 100 Movies: An Alien, an Unlikely Hero, and a Classic : Flicks Lists…
The format for revealing Flicks Lists Top 100 Movies officially changes today. This post includes Nos. 67 through 65 of the Top 100 and features an alien, an unlikely hero, and a classic, classic flick. Let me know if you like the new format or think…
Love them all, especially Sling Blade and ET…I actually have been having this nagging desire to see ET one more time.
I am glad to see this list rolling again. I loved the Godfather and that is why I own the trilogy and Sling Blade was quite good. I still tend to think that ET is overrated though. Please take no offense as I know that I am alone in that category. Thanks for the continuation of the list.
Mike - Yeah, I haven’t watched E.T. in quite a while. Maybe because I don’t want to get “teary” in front of my wife
Dave - Thanks! Glad you like it and no offense taken. I hope that there is some disagreement with my choices and I am sure there will be more as we get deeper into the “countdown.”
