You either love this flick or hate it. I understand why some hate Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy. It is silly and the humor isn’t for everyone (I can hear some of you now, “Humor? What humor?”) Well, I like silly humor and Will Ferrell, in a classic performance for him, so I love this flick.

The supporting cast of Anchorman is great, especially Steve Carell as a mentally challenged weatherman, which I made reference to in an earlier post. There are also some great quotable lines in this flick (e.g. “I’m kind of a big deal”).

If you didn’t like it the first time, why not try it again and see if it works for you a second time? You never know, you may fall in love for the first time.

Wow, Anchorman got ahead of Full Metal Jacket! I have to say that I am kind of shocked. Thanks for the posts. I love this count down to the number on your list; keep it up.

Thanks for the comment and kind words Dave. Glad you are enjoying the countdown!

I ranked each movie according to several criteria, including how many times I have seen it, whether it has quotable dialog, etc. Ultimately, it comes down to how much I enjoyed a particular flick. That’s why some of the ranking may seem surprising. I am sure there will be more surprises further up the list!
